Keeney Cabin is a privately owned log structure outside of Alderson, WV. It was built of white oak logs and is V or steeple notched; indicative of a late 1700s construction style. There is much debate over who the original owner of this structure was. It was believed to be built either by Lewis family in the late 1700s and then moved to its current location or by the Keeney family in the early 1800s. Tree-ring dating of Keeney Cabin will help determine the true history of this structure.
